The Astronomical Association of Ferguson High School was founded in 2011, but it was inactive for a long time due to some unavoidable reasons. In 2019, it was restarted under the guidance of the madam principal, Mrs. Mercy Galagama, and the teacher in charge, Mrs. Nelu Liyanaarachchi. Within its short history, the Astronomical Association has carried out numerous projects in order to develop the knowledge and enthusiasm of the young Ferguson astrophiles.
