Ferguson Cadet platoon was initiated in 1991 with the sheer determination of the former principal Ms. Buddhi Bamunusingh e. Ferguson High school has the honor of establishing a Cadet Platoon (Girls) for the first time in Sabaragamuwa Province. The first platoon was established with the 8th Battalion under the guidance of Col.The air cadet platoon at Ferguson High school was established under the patronage of the present principal Ms. Mercy Galagama and teacher-in-charge Captain Champa Samaratunga in 2015.
