KARATHE

Karathe was introduced to the Ferguson High School as an individual and team event. Since the commencement of Karathe the students were enthusiastic and energetic to perform their Skills and talents in achieving numerous awards to the school.

BADMINTON

 This organized game was initiated in 1960s in Ferguson High school and made a tremendous improvement durin

g the last few years. Ferguson High School Badminton players represented themselves at Zonal, Provincial and All island competitions.

NETBALL

 Netball as a sport of Ferguson High School was initiated in 1940s and became popular among players ever since. The netball players are moving forward collecting many victories in Zonal, Provincial and All island Tournaments.

 CHESS

The chess club of Ferguson High School was originally started in 1990. Most of the players got opportunity to represent Sri Lanka at the International tournaments grabbing medals for the country.

AEROBICS GYMNASTIC

 Aerobics Gymnastics was initiated at Ferguson High School in the year 2009. Students performed in Zonal provincial, National Competitions with the hope of better functioning in the on coming centenary.

SWIMMING

 Swimming as a sports is moving forward collecting many victories since early 2000. Many victories were secured by the members of Swimming club of Ferguson High School.

VOLLEYBALL

 Volleyball became famous among players of Ferguson High School since it was introduced. The talented players got the opportunity to become champions under 16, under 18 and under 20 at Zonal, Provincial and All island competitions.

BASKETBALL

The Basketball club of Ferguson High School was started recently. They have extended vision of reaching highest possible standards of this sport to bring the fame to Ferguson High School.

WUSHU

 Wushu as an art of fighting has been performing in Ferguson High School since 2005. This sport brought an immense glory to Ferguson High School ever since it was started. The commitment on and the dedication of the coach, the teachers- in charge immensely contributed to the success of the players.

TABLE TENNIS

Table tennis club of Ferguson High School was formed under the guidance of physical training instructors of our school. The outstanding players of our school secured so many victories at Zonal, Provincial and All island competitions.

Taekwondo was started in Ferguson High School in 2017. This sport brought an immense glory to Ferguson High School ever since it was started and members of Taekwondo won numerous awards in Zonal, provincial and national level competitions.

 

CRICKET

 

 

 

The cricket club of Ferguson High School was started recently with the vision of developing practical skills, physical and mental stability, developing personal wellbeing and instilling good qualities in them.

 

TENNIS

 

Tennis was started in July 2015 . At present two teams names red ball team and orange ball team take part in tennis tournaments.

 

ATHLETICS

 

 

Many athletes have brought glory to Ferguson High School not only in the field events but also in running events. They were achieving numerous awards to school in Zonal, provincial and national level competitions.

Carom club of Ferguson High School was basically introduced to the students and they were achieving many awards in different competitions.
